“As you look to the New Year, Hold on to what is good, Let go of what is bad, it really is that simple.”
This simple New Year wish has in-depth meaning. As the New Year is about to begin, shouldn’t you be doing something different, new and unconventional? Yes, of course my lovely ladies across the globe. Add meaning to your lives by being different in the coming year. Does that mean give up what you were doing last year? Not at all, analyse your tasks that are yet to reach their accomplishments. Try to develop new strategies from various perspectives to accomplish it at any cost before you head towards a new project. Unfulfilled desires and work will never help us take up another one in hand.
New Year is a time to make resolutions too but rather than making new ones let’s revive our old ones which you have already read on SJ wall as well. Never give up…. Did we follow this? On so many occasions you had to give up to save some relationship. I again say never give up with an affirmation. I mean don’t give up your strong will and determination as you need it to keep yourself going. Self-respect is another aspect I keep highlighting. In no case should you compromise with your self -respect for that’s your true identity. I’m reminded of Phoolan Devi or bandit queen who had been mercilessly molested as a young girl. But what did she do to prove to the world that she’s self respected, is known to all of you.
Break your inhibitions and shun away your fear to be exemplary women in this competitive world. Be like Neha Pardeshi from Pune who’s the first Indian woman to captain a rugby team. She brought glory to the country by winning the silver medal in Asia 7s in 2016.
Dr. Vasundhara Rangan, a leading neurosurgeon made a mark by taking-up this field of study. She is one of the few who chose a different and complicated branch. Data says there are less than 100 women neurosurgeons in India. Don’t you think it’s time for you to enlist your name in the list of achievers in the coming year? What’s holding you back, come on let’s join hands and carve a separate niche for ourselves.
Remember the old maxim “Rolling Stones gather no moss.” You are vibrant and let the whole world know that you are the one who’s going to make it to the top.
