We always aspire to be exemplary and want to achieve something great. Keeping this thought in mind we chalk out a plan or a schedule. We even prioritise our activities to meet the demands. The table is all set and it’s time to execute the plan and all of a sudden everything comes to a standstill. We get tensed and nervous. Something interrupts and exactly at this point procrastination too finds a way in our schedule. We feel something is holding us back in executing our desired work schedule. You know what it is! It’s the fear of failure within us. Even before we’ve started the work the dreadful fear creeps in disturbing the mental stability and there’s a state of confusion cropping up in the grey matter. Eminent motivational speaker and writer Shiv Khera expands the word FEAR this way-
Fear of failure is often worse than failure itself. We have to understand that we can’t fail unless we make an attempt. When we don’t try we are heading towards negativity. We need to be optimistic as we start our work. The famous scientist Thomas Alva Edison could invent the first electric bulb only after thousands of attempts. Had he got a thought of giving up, you can pretty well predict what would have happened to us. The people of the world would have been using candles and lanterns as a source of light. We must chase away fear before fear swallows us. When hard work is incorporated with perseverance in the anticipation of positive results, automatically the task is half-done. The same word FEAR was expressed differently by few knowledgeable people. Here’s the way they take it.
This indeed is an eye-opener for those who hold themselves back. I think this explanation should be enough for us to break the cocoon of fear. Let us allow the butterfly of success to come out from the cocoon. Let’s make an attempt and accomplish the task to the fullest of our satisfaction.
DON’T QUIT COME WHAT MAY.
